Cairo City Tour Description
This full-day tour explores the highlights of Cairo’s rich history.
We start with the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, home to thousands of ancient artifacts, including statues of famous pharaohs such as Khufu, Khafre, and Ramesses II, offering a great introduction to Ancient Egyptian civilization.
Next, we visit the Salah El-Din Citadel, built in the 12th century as a defensive fortress. Inside, we explore the impressive Mosque of Muhammad Ali, known for its Ottoman-style architecture and panoramic views over Cairo.
After that, we head to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest traditional markets in the Middle East, where visitors can enjoy shopping, local crafts, and the lively atmosphere of Old Cairo.
The tour ends in Old Cairo with a visit to the Hanging Church, one of the oldest Coptic churches in Egypt, built above a Roman fortress and representing Egypt’s Christian heritage.
